This week I’ve been listening loud to Stewart McIlrath, an up and coming local artist from Ballymena. He has just released his an EP, Stories of Life. I love the concept of this EP – all the songs tell the true stories of people in Northern Ireland. My favourite is ‘The Other Side’ which is based on the story of a 17 year old boy from North Belfast and his efforts to bring unity and hope to a divided community (hear his story on the UTV website). These songs are beautifully crafted and I’m looking forward to hearing more from Stewart in the future.
