It is no secret that I don’t like Mondays. So the thought of heading down to Muriel’s Bar to celebrate a friend’s birthday with some great friends, is keeping me going today.
This is a cosy bar in the city centre, with a quirky sense of style and atmosphere in abundance. The vintage hat shop heads in the display at the back are kind of funky, in a creepy sort of way. The last time I was in they were serving warm cider, which made me feel warm and cosy at this time of year. Also I loved the rabbit lamp that adorned my table!
The thought of this wee gem of a place encouraging a smile to form on my miserable monday face.
