After my epic West Coast roadtrip last year, this year I will be “staycationing” and probably snatching a weekend here and there in different places. I’m looking forward to heading to Bath in March and there is talk of a girls weekend to Donegal.

Nestled in the coastside village of Glenarm, in the stunning Glens of Antrim, The Barbican was part of the home of the sixth Earl of Antrim, Randal William McDonnell. Now you can be Queen or King of the Castle for a weekend!
I’m wishing I was walking beside the sea, visiting the waterfall in Glenariff Forest and sitting beside this fire in the Barbican reading David Starkey’s biography on Elizabeth I.
Where would you make a stylish getaway to?
