Do you ever come across things you would like to have seen, done or gone to after it has happened? I had this moment when I was reading The Guardian Women’s Blog this morning, which was discussing WoW – Women of the World Festival 2012 which took place in the Southbank Centre last week.

Launched in 2011, WoW is a festival of talks, debates, music, film, comedy and conversations that celebrates the talents of women and girls from all walks of life and all parts of the world.
WOW asks what obstacles exist that prevent women from realising their potential and debates how to make progress. In WOW you’ll hear great stories from women who are breaking the mould in science, enterprise, law, the arts, health, activism, education, politics, sport, fashion , finance and family life.
So imagine my delight when I see some blogs talking about a WoW 2013 taking place in Derry/Londonderry/Croatia (as my friend’s 5 year old likes to call it)!
The thought of what a similar style event in Belfast could look like is helping me Make it to 5pm!
