It’s Friday people!! I’ve only worked 3 days this week, thanks to the Easter Holidays (I could become used to this!) so I don’t feel like I’ve earned my weekend. But I’m still going to take it and enjoy it!
I’m going to do some baking this weekend. I love baking! I own a KitchenAid and it doesn’t sit there looking pretty, I actually use it … a lot! If my house was on fire, I would save my KitchenAid first before my housemate. Only joking … I think!
So I love watching shows on the foodie channels like Ace of Cakes. I must confess that I have sneered at Ace of Cakes in the past. Ace of Polysterene and Wood would be more like it! I am not a fan of novelty cakes. I like simple, elegant design and most importantly cakes that actually taste like cake, not like they were made in B&Q/Home Depot (for my American readers!) I just don’t want to eat that much fondant and food colouring!
BUT Charm City Cakes have wiped that sneer clean off my face with their beautiful, breathtaking, elegant Summer 2012 Wedding collection. These are my kind of cakes…
